This safari avoids long road journeys. Instead, you fly from Zanzibar to Kogatende Airstrip in Northern Serengeti. From July to October, large herds of wildebeest and zebras gather around the Mara River.

During the safari, you explore the Northern Serengeti and search for wildlife near the Mara River. You spend two nights at Engutoto Migration Camp, which is located close to the main migration areas.

Day 01 :

Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti – Enter the Migration Zone

our safari begins with a morning transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to the airport.

Board your scheduled light aircraft flight to Kogatende Airstrip in Northern Serengeti. Enjoy views of Tanzania's coastline, landscapes and plains during the flight.

After landing at Kogatende, meet your safari guide and begin your first game drive.

Northern Serengeti is home to lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, cheetahs and many other animals. During the migration season, large wildebeest and zebra herds may also be found in the area.

After the game drive, continue to Enkutoto Migration Camp for dinner and your overnight stay

Full Day Mara River Crossing Experience

After breakfast, leave the camp with packed lunch for a full-day safari in Northern Serengeti.

Today, you will explore the Mara River area and follow the migration herds.

Your guide will monitor the movements of the wildebeest and look for possible river-crossing activity. The timing of a crossing is unpredictable, so patience is important.

If a crossing takes place, you may see thousands of wildebeest and zebra moving toward the river. The scene can be dramatic as the animals cross the water.

The area is also home to lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, hippos and crocodiles.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari. Continue exploring the area in the afternoon before returning to Enkutoto Migration Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 :

Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Kogatende – Fly Back to Zanzibar

After the game drive, return to camp for breakfast.
