Trip Info
6-Day Marangu Route Overview
The 6-day Marangu Route is a popular way to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail passes through rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and the high-altitude summit zone.
An extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut gives you more time to rest and adjust to the altitude before the summit climb.
Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” Marangu is the only Kilimanjaro route with mountain huts instead of tents. This provides a more sheltered overnight experience.
An experienced guide, porters, and a cook will support you throughout the trek.
Your goal is Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters. After reaching the summit, descend through the mountain zones and finish your adventure at Marangu Gate.
