After an early breakfast and packing our lunch, we will drive to Ngorongoro. Once there, we will descend into the crater for a game drive. In the afternoon, we will stop at the picnic site for lunch and then proceed with a game drive until late afternoon.
After that, we will ascend to the top and drive to Serengeti for an overnight stay at Embalakai tented camp.
Ngorongoro is one of the world’s largest calderas, measuring 20km wide. It is also one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Tanzania, where black rhinos can be spotted. The crater, which is 2,286m above sea level, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. It covers 260km² and is surrounded by very steep walls that rise 610m from the crater floor. Over 30,000 animals call it home, with almost half of them being zebra and wildebeest. Ngorongoro is listed as a World Heritage site.

We will spend an entire day exploring the untouched wilderness of the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives. You will be amazed by the sheer abundance of wildlife, ranging from graceful antelopes to powerful predators, living in their natural habitat. Don’t forget to visit the Serengeti Visitor Center to learn more about the park’s ecosystem and conservation efforts. After a day full of adventures, we will return to our lodge for a delicious dinner and share tales around the campfire.
