Enjoy game drives, cultural experiences, mountain trekking, and scenic relaxation as you travel from Arusha to Dar es Salaam.
9-Day Tanzania Safari Adventure to Western Kilimanjaro
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your Ron Adventure representative for transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Relax and recover from your journey as you prepare for your upcoming adventure. Overnight in Arusha. Overnight Planet lodge
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, and diverse birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch and later proceed to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge
After an early breakfast, begin your descent into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater is often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to its breathtaking scenery and incredible concentration of wildlife. Enjoy a half-day game drive across the crater floor, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—along with countless other species such as zebras, wildebeests, and flamingos near the soda lake.
Pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater, surrounded by the sounds of nature and sweeping views of this natural wonder. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater rim and continue your journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you drive across the vast plains, keep your eyes open for wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, check in and relax at Dove tented camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay under the starlit African sky.
Spend the day discovering the endless plains of the Serengeti, a land where nature unfolds in its purest form. As you journey across the savannah, keep your eyes open for majestic lions resting under acacia trees, elusive leopards blending into the rocky outcrops, and swift cheetahs scanning the horizon for prey. Depending on the season, you may also witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration — thousands of wildebeest and zebras moving in search of fresh grazing. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife that make Serengeti one of the world’s most remarkable safari destinations. Later in the evening, return to Dove Tented Camp for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the African night.
After an early breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive through the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, giving you another opportunity to spot predators returning from a night hunt or grazing animals beginning their day. Capture your final moments in this iconic park before continuing your journey toward Karatu.
On the way, you will stop at a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll experience an authentic cultural encounter. Learn about the Maasai people’s fascinating customs, take part in their traditional dances, and gain insight into their daily lifestyle and traditions.
After the visit, continue your scenic drive to Karatu, arriving in the late afternoon. Relax and unwind at your lodge, surrounded by the beautiful highlands near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge
After breakfast, depart with your packed lunch and drive toward Lake Eyasi, a beautiful and less-visited area located on the southern edge of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Upon arrival, enjoy an enriching cultural experience with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, some of Tanzania’s last remaining hunter-gatherer communities. Spend time learning about their unique traditions, hunting techniques, and daily lifestyle, which have remained largely unchanged for centuries. You may also join them on a short traditional hunting walk or observe how they craft tools and prepare food.
In the afternoon, enjoy your lunch in the scenic surroundings before continuing your journey to the Tarangire National Park area. Arrive in time to relax and unwind as you take in the park’s breathtaking landscapes filled with baobab trees and wildlife. Later, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Tarangire Safari Lodge, perfectly positioned to give you an authentic wilderness experience.
After an early breakfast, set out for an exciting game drive in Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife areas. The park is renowned for its vast elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and diverse landscapes that stretch along the Tarangire River — a vital water source that attracts a wide variety of animals, especially during the dry season. As you explore, you’ll have the chance to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and an impressive array of birdlife.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy your packed or lodge lunch before departing for Moshi, a charming town located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, check in at Kinga Homes, where you can relax and unwind after your adventure-filled day.
After breakfast, depart from your lodge and drive to the Marangu Gate, the starting point for your Mount Kilimanjaro day hike. After completing registration, you’ll begin your guided trek along the Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola Route.” This scenic trail winds through a beautiful montane rainforest, home to colobus monkeys, vibrant tropical birds, and a variety of flora unique to the slopes of Africa’s highest mountain.
Your hike continues up to Mandara Hut (2,700 meters), where you’ll take a short rest and enjoy a packed lunch. A brief walk from here leads you to Maundi Crater, offering stunning panoramic views over northern Tanzania and Kenya’s plains on a clear day.
In the late afternoon, you’ll descend back to the Marangu Gate, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to your accommodation at Kilimanjaro Mountain Resort. Relax and unwind after a rewarding day of exploration, surrounded by the cool mountain air and beautiful landscapes.
After an early breakfast, depart with your packed lunch and drive toward Same for an exciting day at Mkomazi National Park. This hidden treasure of northern Tanzania is renowned for its remarkable landscapes, which range from open savannahs to the slopes of the Pare and Usambara Mountains. Upon arrival in the afternoon, you will begin your game drive, exploring the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, oryx, and a wide variety of bird species.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary, where dedicated conservation efforts are helping to protect and increase the population of the endangered black rhino. Later, continue to Babu’s Camp, a charming tented camp located in the heart of the park. Take some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before heading out again at around 7:00 PM for an unforgettable night game drive, a unique opportunity to spot nocturnal animals and experience the park from a completely different perspective
